This song is dedicated to my grandad. It was written about the stroke he suffered. I can't really offer much more than that. If you read the lyrics you'll hopefully see that.
lyrics
It was dark but we still could see the flames
He was bleeding and we couldn't make it stop
There was changing but he still could see my name even through the dense smoke
The fire burned on... on and on and on
I felt it - the heat was just so hot
And it raged on and we couldn't move a thing
Moments slipped by as they usually do
The fire burned on... on and on and on
Behind the fire, behind the veil of smoke
Trees burn to ash and life turns to smoke
Footprints covered in dust
The fires spread they rage on 'til nothing's left
Taking life with no hindsight
Everything gone alight
Behind the fire there is so much to see
I can settle for less but that's not up to me
I'm not the one who's struggling on and on
I can't be there it's not that I don't care
